“Venom” Spinoff Coming Soon

Venom, the character you know best as a nemesis to Spider-man, is actually going to get his own movie. I l know there are some enthusiasts out there who will undoubtedly be excited by this but I really don’t know if this will work.

First of all, where will this film fit in relation to the Spider-man movies? Venom appeared in the third installment and I thought that he, along with his Eddie Brock alter-ego, was killed off. I thought, for a second, that a prequel might work but it was in the Spider-man flick that Eddie gained his powers so there would be no point to that.
Secondly, who will play this villain? Audiences were on the fence about Topher Grace’s portrayal (I thought it was pretty good, actually) but I guess it will all depend on where they decide to go with this storyline.
