NASCAR’s Camping World West Series took to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA on Saturday afternoon for the Bennett Lane Winery 200. With only 2 laps to go in the race, Jeff Jefferson drove over a berm that sent his car flipping through the air before landing back on the track in Turn 7. Luckily, Jeff was able to get out of the car with no signs of injury.
Jason Bowles eventually emerged victorious. The race saw 12 different caution flags, and 40 of the 64 laps were run under yellow.

Whooeeee! Scary. Thank for posting this Tim.
Yeah, that was crazy, wasn’t it? I remember when Waltrip slammed the wall at Watkins Glen a few years back, but I don’t ever recall seeing a stock car flip like this at a road course.
Some years ago, 1994 I believe, I saw John Krebbs racing along with Derrike Cope, they made contact and they both slid off the course going into the area of the now not-used carrousel. Krebbs ended up flipping down into one of the gullies at Infineon. Pretty spectacular flip too! A few years later in 1999, I believe that it was Steve Park and Ken Schrader both flipped in the same race, going into turn 1 area, at different times…same race though. So, it can be hairy out there on those road courses!
Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember the ‘99 incidents with Schrader and Park … I’d totally forgotten all about that. I’m not familiar with the ‘94 accident with Cope and Krebbs, though … I’ll have to see if I can’t dig that up on Youtube. Thanks for posting, Tom.
