VIDEO – Lou Piniella ejected

June 30, 2008 by Tony Baldwin

When Lou Piniella gets ejected, you know he’s going to get his money’s worth. In this clip below, Piniella is ejected for arguing after a check swing was called in favor of the Chicago White Sox.

You can see Piniella race out of the dugout and the first base umpire Chad Fairchild clearly telling him not to come out there. As soon as Piniella turns around the home plate umpire Rob Drake tosses him from the contest. The best part? Both Fairchild and Drake are minor league umps. They were only working the game due to other MLB umps being on vacation.

Have a look at the video.
