View From My Window

Our windows are floor to ceiling, with a view that extends across the west end of the city, hitting the lake and on the clearest of days even a little bit of New York state. From the 31st floor, we have a bit of selection as to how much city noise we get - windows closed…it’s peaceful. Open them up…ahhh, sirens, traffic and occasionally the sound of a bagpipe (yes - seriously).
Shown here is Louie looking out one of our many windows. He loves the sunlight streaming in to warm a spot totally made for basking. Well, at least in the summer. In the winter, he’s all trying to “catch” the snowflakes.
It’s a view that’s made for relaxing on the balcony with a glass of wine, or curling up on the couch with a good book.

Floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the city? Pure delight! And how accommodating of Louie to strike such a lovely pose.
As for bagpipes, I know you’re talking about the Greatest City in the World, but Bethlehem, PA has its moments, too, especially during Musikfest. Last year a nouveau-hippie on electric guitar and an Army private in camo on bagpipes faced off outside my studio. [I couldn't make this stuff up.]
MsInformation - AMAZING…I love it when things like that happen. Even this week, with everyone going nuts about soccer, honking their car horns incessantly…I secretly enjoy it, even if I join in with others who scoff occasionally. ;-)
So cute! My cat tries to catch birds through the window.
As long as you are supporting Portugal I will continue to read your blog…..maybe.
Peggy - ours used to do the same…when we had birds come by. Now we’re up so high that there’s rarely a bug for them to chase. :-)
Duarte - Go Portugal! You’d continue reading anyway…
