Visa New Slogan: “More People Go with Visa”

Instead of “Life Takes Visa”–its slogan for the last three years, the new slogan for Visa is now “More People Go with Visa.”

Visa’s $140 million ad campaign kicks off on Wednesday, March 4 with its new television commercials debuting in the U.S. during “American Idol.” Eventually the campaign will appear in 43 countries.

The focus of the new slogan and ad campaign is on global markets, everyday spending needs and debit card usage. The advertisements will primarily focus on the benefits of the Visa Check Card. Instead of encouraging consumers to go into credit card debt during these tough economic times, they are encouraging money management and convenience through the check card.

With most consumers worrying about overspending and credit card debt, it’s a wise decision on Visa’s part to change their focus to the debit card.

Wow, I really hate this new slogan. It makes me feel like it’s a laxative.
