In Attempt to Stirrup Trouble, Neighsayers Whinny That 71-Year Old Will Be Saddled With Upkeep Charges

When she hoofed it in to work on Wednesday, waitress A.D. Carrol* never expected to ride off into the sunset with a 5-year-old ex-racehorse as a tip.

“There were two men eating chili and I had to ask them to move to make way for a larger group,” said A.D. noting she had to jockey the seating arrangements to accommodate a bridle party.

“Win the guys were finished, I placed the check on the table and the next day one of them showed up with a horse,” said the startled waitress who indicated she got a real kick out of the tip and had put long odds on the fact she’d ever see either of the two men again.

Most waitresses don’t get tips that large, according to a recent Gallup poll.

“We get a lot of horse’s asses in here who don’t tip at all, so it’s kinda ironic that I got this as a tip,” said Carrol.

Just horsing around, she added, “You’d find it especially ironic if you know what kind of meat we used in the chili….”
