As Rachel over at Behind the Buzz points out, there can be plenty of unintended consequences to some of your decisions. Two companies offered promotions regarding the World Series (which Boston won). Taco Bell is offering a free taco, since a base was stolen, between 2 and 5 p.m. today. But, as Rachel mentions, a bigger problem may be awaiting Jordan’s Furniture in Boston:
The second company may have a bigger issue. The Boston Herald reports on Jordan’s Furniture, is a local Northwest furniture store, who promised buyers who bought certain furniture between March 7th and April 16th rebates, if they signed-up for the deal.
Rachel points out that the marketing director was smart enough to buy insurance ahead of time, and it turned out to be a good thing.
In personal finance, it is important to consider the consequences of your decisions. You should carefully think of alternatives, and in some cases consider some sort of insurance. And when investing? Make sure the move you make is one you can afford to lose at.
