Was Doug Gottlieb out of line?

Funny how Cookie Miller’s name comes up again so soon, but had to share this.

Gottlieb said this about Cookie, “He’s acting like a punk”.

I just think it was one of those times when the heat of the moment gets the better of a guy.

hat tip: The Dagger

May be a punk move, but I’ll give Cookie the benefit of the doubt.

But wait, the real question is whether Gottlieb was out of line?

Well, Gottlieb does have a sketchy history of his own–he stole credit cards from a roommate at Notre Dame and ran up $900 in charges and was convicted of fraud. He eventually ended up at Oklahoma State.

He also put on his shorts backwards once.

So when it all comes down to it, Gottlieb is probably a tool. Solid evidence of this can be seen at the link I provided on “stole credit cards”.

But I still can’t decide if Gottlieb was out of line.

What say you?

The only reason I think Gottlieb was maybe out of line is that it’s never wise for a white guy to call a black guy a punk on tv like that. Even if he’s just referring to that one specific play, it’s not the smartest idea.

But he was right, that was an idiotic, punk play by Miller. So, even though Doug Gottlieb is a total douche, he gets a pass with me on this one.

Yeah, Cookie was OUT OF CONTROL during that sequence. Maybe if I knew more about the guy I could come to a conclusion. Unfortunatly I know more about Doug, so Doug gets the blame on this one.

Yeah, I agree with MAO. Although a lot of people don’t realize it, “punk” is a racially-packed word.

If Gottlieb had called Miller a “dumbass,” it probably wouldn’t be a big deal.
