Washington Mystics sign Kendra Wecker

According to WNBA.com via SilverStarsNation, the Washington Mystics have signed forward Kendra Wecker.

When Wecker was waived by the San Antonio Silver Stars at the beginning of the season, there was a near-mutiny as she was a fan favorite on the squad. There weren’t any major issues before she was waived, but her playing time had declined over the past seasons and it appeared she was the victim of a numbers game.

The Kansas State graduate is expected to be a complimentary player to the Mystics, who are currently 5-7 this season.
