I’m sorry for all the people who worked for Weekender. Over the years my friends and I hosted many parties with many of your independent reps. We loved them all. I can’t tell you how many v-neck cartigans we bought. I personally bought into the whole collection, pants, tees, jackets, etc. in all the classic colors, black, white, red, blue, gray and wine, brown and green when they were available. I retired last year after wearing that stuff for 20 years. I can’t find anything that matches its quality or classic style and flexibility. This is selfish but I’m heart sick about the loss of this company. If you ever go into the business again…with the same population in mind…I need a new wardrobe.

Perry Krieger & Associates Inc. have been appointed as Trustee In Bankruptcy (the “Trustee”) for Weekenders. Information about the Trustee can be found at http://www.perrykrieger.com. The Trustee’s telephone number is 905.508.0080 and fax number is 905.508.0012.
Each coordinator that is owed commissions by Weekenders and wishes to be placed on the list of creditors is required to file a formal Proof of Claim with the Trustee. The Proof of Claim is a document whereby each creditor sets out the amount they are owed along with any and all supporting documentation as evidence of their claim. If they have not already received Proof of Claim forms from the Trustee, coordinators should contact the Trustee to obtain the appropriate forms.

Consumers of Weekenders products can contact the Consumer Affairs office in their applicable province or territory for assistance, as required.

I see a theme here. I have been a coordinator two separate times; once over 10 years ago and once just recently when I was asked to quit last summer because I was bringing the averages down. How are your averages now Angela? I don’t wish something like this on anyone. It has to be awful to wake up one day and bam! No job. It really is too bad. Good luck all you Weekender ladies. Fortunately I kept my day job and will have it to go to tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day.

I am a co-ordinator and I am really pissed that I just bought a new pack, had not even opened it yet, and bam–they close their doors. they got thousands from just the co-ordinators ordering new packs, as well as the thousands in orders that can not be filled and the co ordinators are left holding the bag. I too was not very active, and i too was treated poorly. I am not surprised the company went under either.

It is a few years ago now that I stopped being a coordinator. I was not one of the company’s most productive coordinitor and as a result I was treated very rudly. So if that was the way I was treated, I’m sure I was not the only one. And if that was the way the company was run from the top, I’m not surprised that it went under. I just went on the ‘net to see the summer line, just for fun, and saw the letter that Lia Keeping wrote. My sympathies to all who were stuck with product, orders,a buiseness, and all that goes with that.

Of course she’s OK. She made her millions. If she really loved them she would personally see that none of them lost any money from incompetent leadership.
