Weird, if not disturbing, Mario and Luigi images

I was trolling for useful images for my growing Mario Brothers image bank the other night when I ran across these, uhmm, wonderful original artworks:

My apologies to the artists who created these Mario Brothers masterpieces. Apparently, the images, which I downloaded from Infosoldier, 1up, and Gay Gamer are reproductions as well.

Personally, I love the second image. The thought that Mario Mario and Luigi Mario can be super action stars trashing the villain’s crib is appealing. Well, it’s certainly better than picturing the brothers as thugs with mugshots to their names.
