Welcome Back to ESPN, Barry Melrose

If you are an NHL fan who has been trapped in an ice cave for the last few months, don’t worry nothing has changed. While you were gone Barry Melrose, the face of the NHL on ESPN, was hired to coach the Tampa Bay Lightning. A couple days into the season, Melrose has been fired by the Lightning.
If you want to watch a hilarious video, check out the farewell party that ESPN threw for Melrose after he was hired. It was a huge production featuring a number of intoxicated ESPN anchors. See as how the farewell party was just two months ago, it’ll be interesting if they throw him a welcome back party.
After a somewhat successful stint with the Los Angeles Kings, Melrose went to ESPN and stayed there for 13 years. Although it isn’t official yet, you can expect he’ll be back at ESPN after this latest firing. For good, this time.
