“WET” For Xbox 360 and PS3

WET was released this week for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and I’ve got to say that this third-person shooter game looks like it’s got it all.  The screenshots look sleek, sexy and feature cartoonish looking graphics.

When I first saw some of the images, they really reminded me of the Kill Bill movies and that seems to be accurate enough.  The gameplay features a combination of shooting, swordfights and acrobatics.  Naturally, the main character Rubi (voiced by Eliza Dushku) can attack and look hot while jumping through the air, running on walls (or people) and even sliding on her knees.

I read that during those intense acrobatic sequences, the game goes into slow motion and I’m not sure if I’m going to find that annoying or cool since there is a purpose – the delay allows Rubi to aim at a second enemy.

The girl’s a real bad ass too since she regains her strength by finding bottles of whiskey, taking a swig and then, after throwing the bottle in the air, she shoots it.  Kinda unnecessary but whatever.

As if that didn’t clue you in to how scary she is, when Rubi’s face gets covered in blood, the game goes into a noir style (featuring the red, black and white visuals like the image above) and she actually goes on a murderous rampage.  The more enemies she kills, the longer the psychotic fury lasts.  Sounds like Rubi could use some serious help.  Check out the trailer:
