What Did You Want To Be When You Grow Up?

April 1, 2008 by Darlene McDaniel

What did you want to be when you grow up? I know this is a familiar question. Either you were asked the question when you were a kid, or you have asked some kid the question. Either way, it’s a great question. So in honor of Take Your Daughter and Son to Work Day coming up on April 24th, I am asking the question. Every comment you leave on my blog this month will be an entry into our Channel wide contest. C’mon, scroll down and share your dreams… What was it for you? A teacher, an astronaut, a football player or a ballerina, maybe a doctor?

Let me also invite you to allow your children to leave the answer to my question this month. They can tell us what they would like to be when they grow up. There is a $25 gift card available to the best comment this month.

America is a wonderful place to live, because we are free. Freedom is
important, and many people in other countries do not have much freedom.
I am glad I have a place like this to grow up and continue my education
Going to school has been one of my biggest priorities and the
most routine part of my life.I have many more years to get through, before
i finish up my school life
but the years that I spent in elementary school were the most memorable.
The personal goals that I want to achieve as a student is to

finish up shcool and become a doctor.i want to be doctor since i am
6 years old.The field of doctor is both a science and an art
Being a doctor is a very rewarding job for me.
You save many lives and have a lot of money.
i want to be a doctor because i could able to go home at the
end of the day and think
today i saved someones life or i helped someone, someone will
remember me because i did something right.and Because I want
the challenge of diagnosing .I also enjoy the science of it and
I’d love the opportunity to combine science with being with people
and helping people.I think that being a doctor is the most interesting
and helpful career that person could be.Being a doctor means that you
can take care of sick people’s.I want to step out and challenge myself
in the arena of public.I want to enjoy myself at working as a doctor
as much as possible and a feeling of accomplish.and also the reason
why i want to be doctor because,i want to make my parents proud about me.
i want to help poor sick people and give them a free medicine check up and
more.Knowing that I will be the person people turn to on their most unforgettable
days, when there is no other hope and it will be my responsibility to solve their
problem and possibly save a life gives me satisfaction that has much more value than
any amount of money.Doctors make people healthier. When people get sick, doctors figure
out why. They give people medicine and other kinds of treatment. They also give advice about
diet, exercise, and sleep.Doctors use science to figure out what is making people sick. Doctors
examine people, listen to them describe their health problems, and do tests to see what is wrong.
Many people consider that becoming a doctor is not easy. Others believe that becoming a doctor
requires many years and is expensive.but i know i will become a doctor
