What do you think about the Palin Pick?
Did you see John McCain introduce Sarah Palin as his running mate on Friday? McCain made the announcement in Dayton, Ohio – as the pair sets off on the campaign trail on their way to Minneapolis; they’ll be making stops in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Both McCain and Palin talked of her record of and dedication to reform. Did you see the speeches? What did you think? Personally, I thought she did a good job – for her first foray into the national spotlight. She focused on her “good points” there will be plenty of time to dissect the not so good. But some other people I’ve talked to were not impressed – they viewed it as pandering and trivial. Especially for a woman, at such a historical moment. Where do you weigh in? Is this a good/smart/winning choice for Senator McCain? Does his choice steal a little of Barack Obama’s “thunder”? Is this just more of the same politics?

I so wanted to like Ms. Palin because McCain picked a woman, but from what I have read of her, she’s a kook. She supoorts mass shooting of wolves from heliocopters in Alaska so hunters will have more moose to hunt, she doesn’t care that polar bears are threatened, she doesn’t think global warming is man-made, she wants creationism taught as science (it’s religion), etc. I was going to vote for McCain, but there is no way I will now – I don’t want that woman a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
i totally 100% agree with Jo Sands.
She is a total idiot… thinking that global warming is not man made? She obviously does not live on this planet then.
She is not at all qualified to be a vice president, none the less what if McCain drops dead, do we expect her to be good enough to be President?
what a joke!!!
She needs to stay home with her children and especially tend to her child with downsyndrome.
My daughter is autistic and I can’t imagine raising a child with disabilities and not be there to raise them like a good mother should.
Barack Obama all the way!
I think the only reason he picked her is because she is a woman and he thought it would help his campaign. In no way do I think he values her views or opinions at all. Even if they happened to be decent, which I don’t believe they are, he picked a woman and an ill expierenced one at that. I don’t believe the man values anyones opinion unless it is the same as his own. The fact that Obama surrounds himself with people who have different opinions and actually listens to them, speaks to the experts of given concerns and honestly values these persons opinions is why I am so compelled to vote! I was one of those “my vote does not count” people and he has truley inspired me to get out and vote for change.
