Take a look to their website http://www.zambachicken.com/franchising/index.php

Is incredible how this arrogant jerk, the worst kind of opportunist is in franchising world again.

Why IFA or someone else franchising organization does something tio stop him?

It's a shamelessly use the same office he had with CUTS to his new venture, New Jersey Police Arrest him please.

Are there any comparable gym memberships with this concept that have opened in New Jersey. I understand there is one located in the Jersey Shore. Just hard to believe that it works for women but not for men. Thanks for the reply.

Fanie Hendriksz says:
Hi there! I am based in South Africa and read all the comments. Would you think there is a market for a mens only gym (cuts concept) as my wife and I are busy looking into it for South Africa.
Help will be appreciated.

Read through these posts and the comments from the franchise owners:

Men-only fitness did not work out for Cuts for Men or others that tried it. You'll have to decide whether it would fly in SA. Remember, though, you should have a pretty compelling reason to alienate half of your potential customer base.

The same story as Cuts goes with Athletic Nation Personal Training Gym. It's basically the same concept with an arrogant franchisor, Dennis Mulgannon, who promotes his book and continues to sell franchises that have consistently failed. Only around 12-13 have been sold and around 8-9 of them have failed. The rest are new franchisees that have lost a lot of money but are still holding on for hope. It was previously a Men's only gym, but Mulgannon decided to take out the "Men's" from the logo and hope women would just magically show up without any marketing to these "hardcore" gyms. There is no support or marketing once you open your gym. It is so sad that most gyms aren't even paying their royalty's, since they were all previously channeled into selling more franchises.

After being in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years I see them come and go but frankly the concept is good.

The downfall is the ridiculous prices asked especially when compared to scrimmage/pace circuits.

It is amazing how a 1500 sqft space with only 200 members can generate a huge cash flow and I am looking to open another (sold last pt/small studio club)utilizing a mens only theme with some aspects most MENS only have not started to use yet to get men in the club and training.

Would like to hear from those that have equipment and are selling or those that have the MANUALS etc. from their business as well.

I have everything needed to run another on my own but of course I'm willing to learn more about what in the manual worked vs not...seems like it was greed to succeed and lack of managment skills that sunk the Cutz ship.

A hybrid of Scimage/blitz would go a long way in the 40+ bracket amongst a few other concepts that will have MEN paying $79/mth with no qualms about what they receive!

Lets talk people.

James

PS: Heart goes out to you that got scewed but your now in a NEW drivers seat...lets chat!

I was a member of the Cuts in Clifton, New Jersey. There is a Cuts in the Jersey Shore that was just purchased. She is keeping the concept. Although I was not an active member over the last few months....I loved it. Not sure when the Clifton Location closed but had the time now to go back and realized today that the number was disconnected. Anything similar available in Northern New Jersey?
