What Is a Castlevania Rumour? A Miserable Little Cocktease

Welcome to Tokyo Game Show 2008: Special Surprise Edition. I can genuinely say that the news of No More Heroes 2 shocked me and now I am fanning myself like a civil war heroine with the vapours. But as much as I heart Travis Touchdown and the good deeds he does for humanity, I would sell out his mother just to get confirmation on the best news I’ve heard since God invented Pizza Pops.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Deux.
Please don’t be shocked or offended when I collapse and rub myself against the carpet in glee.
Okay, so I’m not rubbing myself just yet because this is just a rumour. I am, however, doing deep breathing exercises and controlling my shaking hands. All we have for now is a cryptic screenshot of Alucard with a swordsy-type weapon. This is Symphony of the Night Alucard, mind you, not cheap hair-dye Arikado from modern-day Aria of Sorrow. Out with the business suit, in with the high heels.
Kurt Kalata, the Internet’s most thorough Castlevania machine (and the owner of the esteemed Castlevania Dungeon) translated the article that serves as the wellspring for this rumour:
[F]olks over at the Castlevania Dungeon, run by the inestimable Kurt Kalata, are saying that this is from an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 title about, “the bloodline that has been surrounded by darkness and curse, betrayed his own kind and destroyed his own father, the cursed destiny.”
Oh, here we go. Castlevania: Oops I Fucked Maria And Now There Are Half-Breed Consequences.

No More Sequel? But how?!
Suda51 is a madman! <3
Also, I’m happy to hear Castlevania is getting more love, but unsure if it can succeed outside of the portable market anymore.
