What is the Toughest Question You Ever Had When Interviewed?

May 5, 2007 by Darlene McDaniel

What is the toughest interview question you have ever had anyone ask you in an interview? I really want to know. I also want to know how you answered the question. Did you give an answer or did you sit there looking like “that was a very difficult question and I don’t have an answer for you.” Here is a great opportunity to share your story. I want to include your stories here at Tough Questions? Great Answers!

It wasn’t for a job, just a reporter type interview, but I was asked who my favorite jewelry designer was, and honestly, I don’t have one! I am familiar with a lot of them, but I really don’t have “one” fav, so I wasn’t sure how to answer that.

  2. Hey Tammy,

Thanks for kicking off my inquiry into Tough Questions!! If you ever have that question posed to you again you can always say your favorite jewelry designer is you! :)

    Hmm.

Relative to the number of jobs I’ve had (not that many), I have had relatively few formal job interviews (like 1 or 2). I think a tough one is the classic “tell me about yourself.” It’s hard to find a mix of a little about you personally, your mini-resume, and your interest in the job.
