You must have seen numerous advertisements of the V-Phone for Vonage but all the add shows you is the V-Phone and some cleavage and fails to mention what the V-Phone actually is.

vonage v-phone

The V-Phone from Vonage is a portable VoIP line in a USB key. Basically all the programs neccessary are saved on the USB key and not on your computer. Instead of you having to install the Vonage software on different computers you can use one USB key to use your Vonage line anywhere you go.

The V-Phone also has 250 MB of free space so you can use it as a normal USB key to store data on.

The downside to the V-Phone which most people don’t know is that if you already have an existing Vonage line, you cannot get a portable V-Phone with the same number. I think it would have been an excellent added bonus for Vonage customers if it were possible to have your number with you on the go.

The V-Phone cost:

US: $39.99. $15/Month for 500 min anywhere in North America. $25/Month for unlimited use in North America.

Canada: $29.99 but plans are more expensive; $20/Month for 500 Min. $40/Month for unlimited use in North America.
