What Keeps You From Marketing Your Writing?

question_mark.jpgWith a huge nod to Copyblogger and his What Keeps You From Writing?, I’m asking:

What keeps you from marketing your writing?

You know, what’s stopping you from sending that query or that article on spec, or calling about corporate writing, or…. you get the idea.

We’re sure to get a whole bunch of different answers, but I’m willing to bet there will be some similarities too.

  1. Hey Anne!

Thanks for covering my latest article on Copyblogger.

I think many of the same concerns stop people from marketing their writing (lack of time, fear, etc.).

  2. Matt Keegan says:

I’ve been spending more time over the past few months on marketing and it has paid off. This included increasing the number of query letters sent, updating my web site, and making subtle changes to the way that I write.

It does take time, but it is worth it in the end.
