What Time Is It?

question-mark.jpgWhen you’re doing something you love, whether it’s blogging, researching or bird-watching, time can really get away from you. Have you ever found yourself working and whittling away, all to look up at the clock (or in your laptop’s browser) to see that three or four hours have gone by? Where does the time go when you’re having fun?! As a working-classer, we’re constantly battling for more time, more hours in the day, more time to do this and that. Women have to wear many hats when she is a business owner or even an executive. As fabulous as we are, there truly is no rest for the weary. But, how can we successfully manage our time and still have highly-productive days? Is there a such thing or is it an oxymoron? Sure there is. One of the most important things you can do to effectively manage time is to…are you ready for this?…only do one thing at a time! Yes, there it is folks. If you focus solely on doing one thing, no matter what that thing is or even how insignificant it is, you can actually get something done. Take for instance, blogging. If you need to make 1-2 posts per day to your blog including researching, image uploading editing and linking, simply stop and take it one step at a time. I am certainly guilty of multi-tasking to the point of “what was it that I was just doing?” which can cause much frustration and many candy bar wrappers collections.Try to take a project, any project and just take it ONE STEP AT A TIME. Let me know how you do on it. Now, what was I just doing?
