What to do with old Blog Posts: Tip#2 Create Handouts

117616141_7aa27b9f99_m.jpg(www.businessandblogging.com) If you followed the advice in my last post, Tip#1: Improve your Networking, you’ve done quite a bit of reading of your old posts.  As you went through them, I bet you found yourself shaking your head and whispering to yourself, “Wow – there’s some good stuff here.  I wish I could just hand this to some of my clients.”

Well – you can! Just follow these steps:

  1. Pull out one of your favorite posts.
  2. Copy it to a word processor application (like ms-word) and format it to look nice on the page
  3. Be sure to add your name, business logo and business name to the top and your contact info to Every Page
  4. Once you have the article formatted exactly as you would like it – create a PDF document out of it. Creating a PDF document protects it from alteration so you can send it out without worrying that someone will change your text or delete your name from the document.
  5. Share it with the world!
    • Attach it to emails you send to current and prospective clients
    • Include it in your Press Kit
    • Print it – and hand it out as a flyer, leave it with clients to read, post it on bulletin boards!

Note: You can convert up to 5 files to PDF for free at this Adobe site.  If you decide you want to convert more files, you can purchase Adobe Acrobat or you can sign up for the monthly online service at a minimal fee.

Now, what other ways can you think to use formatted copies of your blog posts??
