What to Do With Old Blog Posts -Tip#7 More Ways to Create a Book

(www.businessandblogging.com) Today’s tip comes from feedback I received from readers after I posted Tip#6 – Create an E-book. They pointed out some additional publishing options for your blog to book content.
Dan from New Media Consultants, pointed out that with the advent of the Kindle wireless, portable reading device and the Digital Text Platform, ebook authors can create, publish and sell their own ebooks through Amazon.com. Amazon provides a lot of help in its FAQ as well as a community forum for support.
Patrick at Harmonious New Media, included my post in an article on Blogging as a Place for Future Products. He also mentioned the Scrapbook Blogger company, a business that enables bloggers to turn their posts into printed scrapbooks. It appears to be aimed at personal blogs, but it seems to me that it would be a good option for any business blog that is picture intensive – photographer, restaurant, bakery, landscaper, interior designer, etc.
I want to thank Dan and Patrick for their suggestions. And ask – who has any more ideas for what to do with old blog posts? Who knows, your idea might just get you a mention in a future post!!!

I’m reading Seth Godin’s Small is the New Big right now, and I believe a lot of the essays in it are originally from his blog.
I’m a big fan of reusing and re-purposing my content myself, though I’d probably feel compelled to touch up and add a bunch of new content if I turned any of my blogs into books or other information products. :)
Hi Lindsay
You’re right – Seth has turned his blog posts into books – thanks for the reminder – and the example of even the “big guys” realizing the value of “old blog posts”.

Hi Lindsay
You’re right Seth Godin does reuse his blogs in some of his books! Thanks for the reminder and for the example of one of the “big guys” re-using their blog posts!
