What You Need To Know About Time Machine

MacWorld has a great article which gives you a breakdown if Time Machine is right for you. From the surface Time Machine seems to be the answer to our backup prayers but as the article points out, it’s really not for everyone.
One of Time Machine’s drawbacks is that it really requires a lot of space to be effective. The writer suggests that you have to have at least 1.5 times your start-up disk’s space. It doesn’t compress files.
Time Machine also doesn’t make bootable backups. Unlike other backup programs.
Should Time Machine be your sole backup system? Nope. I got the conclusion that you need to use Time Machine with other backup systems to make a complete fool proof plan.
Check out the great article here.
