What’s Happening Around the NBA

Though it’s the NBA offseason, a lot is still going on as several free agents have yet to sign. Chicago Bulls restricted free agent Ben Gordon has not come to an agreement with the club. Reportedly the Bulls are offering a six-year, $59 million deal … but Gordon is asking for $12 million per season. (Does it really make a difference once you get over $5 million a year? How much could you shop?)

35-year-old forward Donyell Marshall is set to join the Philadelphia 76ers. Marshall will reportedly undergo a physical this week and sign a contract for the minimum salary. Marshall started last season in Cleveland and finished the year with the Sonics after being traded in February.
This summer, several NBA players decided to take their games overseas – most notably Josh Childress of the Hawks. Adam Miller at Bleacher Report runs down the top free agents not in the NBA. The aforementioned Gordon is reportedly entertaining an offer from CSKA Moscow.
