Anyway, I don’t think it’s so strange to write out stuff longhand (speaking as a guy with a dozen fountain pens and journals everywhere). There is something very different about writing on paper. More reflective I think.

I wish I could get the old AM station I listened to in Maine that carried the Red Sox games … man I could listen to that whenever. Old style commentary, just classic.

Mostly my house, but the occasional “road trip” is good for stimulation — cafe, park, etc. Also, this may sound horrible to some folks but every now and then I’ll write stuff out longhand in the backyard to get some fresh air, then do research online when I come back in. Somehow I seem to engage the brain a little differently when I’m writing than when I’m typing.

I waver on the music thing. It depends on the mood I’m in, but usually I like to have some.
