Where do you play when you go to Vegas?
It’s been a while since I went out to Vegas. I plan to do so this summer, and the Sports channel editor here at b5, Kori, is heading out very soon. We were talking about it a little, and wondered where people think is the best place to play poker in Vegas?
I’ve always wanted to hit up the Bellagio personally, but never having been there I have no idea how it stacks up against their image.
What are the best card rooms in Vegas, in your opinion? How packed do they get?
We’d love to hear your opinions here, as a resource for everybody considering a trip to the desert.

I don’t really have a preference for poker. I can tell you not to play much during the day time hours m-f though. That is when all the grinders are out doing their thing. The tourists don’t come out until night time and they are who you want to sit at a table with.
You should also try and play dealer head’s up poker. It is in the style of blackjack where every one is playing against the house but it is Holdem.
Some casinos let you share your hole cards with the other betters against the house (which improves your odds magnificently).
Although some casinos have changed their tune and no longer allow hole card sharing. I know the Hard Rock still allowed it last time my buddy went up there a couple months ago.
Yeah, that’s solid advice on the avoiding day time.
They let you share cards against the house? Like you can trade hole cards to make better hands? I’ve never heard of that before… wow.
No, you have to keep your own hole cards, however, you can show each other your hole cards which changes the odds to win greatly.
When you see that you have pocket 3’s and 2 other players have a 3 in their hole, then you know you aren’t drawing for a set.
Or with a flush
or a straight.
Etc.
Thanks for posting this Blake. I play a lot of house games of poker here in town and go to Vegas about twice a year. My trip is Feb 15th for just a few days. I am interested to see where everyone thinks are the top spots.
