Where is the Value of Hyperspace and Hypercore of Phoenix?

Phoenix Technologies is best known for its BIOS technologies which is the first thing that starts upon booting up the system prior to the operating system.
Phoenix has announced that they want to speed up the boot time of Windows Vista by providing HyperCore which is the layer between the BIOS and the operating system. HyperSpace on the other hand is the system that would sit on top of HyperCore and would contain basic apss like web surfing, dvd players, instant messengers.
I do not see the value of this technology when I do intend to use Windows Vista because I would rather boot up my computer and wait for a small amount of time to get settled down with all my apps to enjoy maximum productivity. My computer takes less than 40 seconds to boot Windows Vista and even if it takes 2 minutes for bootup, I could just grab a can of soda or refreshments and the next thing I know Vista has already booted up — this has always been my routine. Also, Windows Vista comes with a sleep mode; though it still needs tuning. If Microsoft perfects sleep mode then users would just rely on it for faster boot time.
The real value for HyperCode and HyperSpace is to be able to use your laptop for specific tasks like instant messenging while preserving your battery life. A few months back I brought my laptop for picnic so that my girl friend and I could watch DVD movies in a bigger screen; unfortunately, the park we had picnic on changed their policy and removed all hanging electrical outlets. My laptop battery supply would not even be able to finish one full lenght movie; but if it had HyperCode and HyperSpace, I could just load a DVD player without loading Windows Vista which could add more than hour of battery life.
I like the idea of HyperSpace and HyperCode and hopefully manufacturers would adopt this technology and include it in future machines.
