Who Uses ClickandBuy? Metromojo.com Does
There’s a VegasMojo, one in Atlanta, Chicago, Nashville but the company’s headquartered in Louisville.
LouisvilleMojo.com is their largest city-site with 250,000 locals serving over 100 million pages each month. This is a fun online social network which is very successful at creating popular ‘local scenes’.
ClickandBuy is an International payments company very popular in Europe. They provide online financial services in 26 countries, using almost 2 dozen different national currencies and offering 43 different payment methods.
Why did the forward thinking Metromojo select them?
“After evaluating several companies specializing in online payments, we selected ClickandBuy for its scope of services and depth of localized payment methods,” noted Chuck Burk, Metromojo Founder and CTO. “ClickandBuy enables us to receive payment in local currencies and via many options that had been unavailable to us previously. Our members can now make reliable, ultra-secure payments via all major credit cards, debit cards, electronic checks and soon, via telephone billing. This flexibility is especially critical as we begin our European expansion with the launch of MerseysideMojo.com, our newest site serving the greater Liverpool, UK area.” Forbes
In the years ahead standard credit card processing for your online business may no longer compete on an international level. For 7 year, successful companies like ClickandBuy have recognized consumers need multiple payment options.
“ClickandBuy’s payment platform offers merchants access to new markets, secure transactions, multicurrency capabilities, an active fraud server and live customer care. ClickandBuy processes, handles and manages digital content for games, songs, movies, streaming video, podcasts, VoIP calls, television, publishing as well as for physical goods.”
ClickandBuy is a great payment option and I write about them often.

What’s the point of all those payment services out there? Isn’t one strong payment solution enough?
That is a popular question and perhaps that is what the VISA corporation would like you to believe, one card fits all…
The facts are – every type of person in society should have payment access to the Internet, NOT just those that have a credit card, which accounts for about 90% of all online payments.
Credit card penetration is extremely low for many countries around the globe, outside of the US. The more payment options a web can provide, the more customers they will have.
Thanks.

All payment service providers process Debit card and Credit Card as standard. I’m not sure the multitude of payment options as supported by Click & Buy actually extends this reach. Most of their payment options are just national debit card brands.
They have done a good job on giving the illusion that they extend payment but in actually fact only process payment for traditional bank products. They do not reach the unbanked.
The guys using it for their Mersey site will be paying a premium for nothing.
Well that was true until today, they now have a cash service in the UK, so even unbankable consumers can spend cash to make that payment through clickandbuy. It was just announced:
ClickandBuy Introducing Web Cash Payment to UK
ClickandBuy is introducing a new web cash service in the UK – saying it is “giving users the ability to physically deposit and spend with cash online, at thousands of top brand websites, like – iTunes, Skype, Disney and BT. Using cash online should be instantly familiar to millions who top-up their “Pay-As-You-Go” mobiles at convenience stores and newsagents up and down the country – as ClickandBuy has teamed up with payzone, the market leader in branded retailer payment outlets with 29,000 locations.”

You might pass that on to your friend. Thanks for your comment and that is usually correct its very hard to find a company that targets both bank – plastic customers and the unbankable. It usually one or the other but not both. Thanks again.

I agree with editor. ClickandBuy is easy to use and the cash option is going to allow people to be secure in paying online. On another issue, it’s interesting to me that Liam is the CEO of a mobile phone payment instrument in the UK. Maybe he feels that ClickandBuy is too competitive for him and needs to cut it down.
Michael,
I have no beef with Clickand Buy, I just don’t think it’s a very good service.
Why should I pay a 3.9% surcharge to use my credit card online. Retailers do not surcharge me for using my credit card, nor do PayPal. Why do Clickand Buy?
Their fee on “express direct Debit” is 8.9%. I’ve no idea what “express direct debit” is but at 8.9% fees, I’ve no interest in finding out. You must have money to burn.
p.s. you got the wrong Liam Lowe. I would like to be CEO of a mobile instrument but sadly I am not.
DON’T PAY WITH CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its RUBBISH please avoid paying with cash at the shop!!!!!! The numbers don’t go in to there system. I’ve phoned for the last 3 weeks now to get an instant payment into the account I setup!!! they wont give me money back they keep saying wait for 1 to 2 days that’s all they keep saying to me I can’t get a refund from them they don’t answer emails totally p***ed off with the service they provide there isn’t a service. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM EVER AGAIN VERY VERY BAD clickandbuy more like a very expensive receipt that is useless!!!! Once bitten!!!! I can feel the small claims court coming on.
If there is another way to pay for the things you want to buy please use that method and not click and buy its simply just not worth it when it goes wrong it goes wrong big time. Just best avoid in the first place that’s all I can say.
Thanks
