Why Aren’t Contacts Related in Outlook?

I am reminded again that Outlook is missing something obvious in my opinion. When I’m adding additional details to a contact, why can’t I link one contact to another one in my address book for things like:
- Manager’s Name
- Assistant’s Name
- Spouse / Partner
Isn’t this obvious? Anyone else figured out something that would make this work?
