Why Players Wait

There are still some top high school players that haven’t committed to a college. Why do they wait? Do they want to torture future coaches while they can, knowing that they’ll be subject to crazy hard workouts in the future? Are they still looking at frat house options? Will they go with the school that has the least legal problems during the off season?

No…it is more likely that these players are smart. I don’t like the idea of having a National Signing Day. College is a big thing. I can’t imagine being pressured to chose. This is four or five years of your life that you’re going to have to learn how to be a grown up. At the wrong college, you’ll be absolutely miserable. Even if it is a good college, it could be wrong for you.

So to all the players who haven’t yet committed – good for you. Take your time and find the best fit.
