Will Bynum, a backup guard for the Detroit Pistons, had a fourth quarter to remember on Sunday. The 6-foot, 185 pounder out of Georgia Tech had a franchise-record 26 points in the final stanza to lead the Pistons over the Charlotte Bobcats by a final score of 104-97.

Coming into the game, Bynum’s career-high was 25 points. For the season, he came into the game averaging 6.2 points and 2.6 assists per contest. Prior to this year, the 26-year-old dynamo had only played 15 games in the NBA — with the Golden State Warriors in 2005-06.
This was a huge victory for the Pistons in their attempt to make the playoffs. Detroit is the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference but they now hold a three-game lead over the ninth seeded Bobcats.
For the night, Bynum finished with 32 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Tayshaun Prince chipped in 14 points, while DJ Augustin led Charlotte with 22 points off the bench.
