Will Davidson Make The NCAA Tournament?

Last year, we were introduced to a small school called Davidson — the 2008 Cinderella story of the NCAA Tournament — and an incredibly likable, not the mention engaging, talented young player named Stephen Curry.
Watching Stephen Curry lead his team through upset after upset reminded me (and whole lot of other college basketball fans) why I love March Madness so much.
Unfortunately, we might not be able to enjoy watching Curry play in the tournament this year. Davidson is in danger of missing out on a bid, and their only hope rests on whether or not they can win the Southern Conference tournament.
I hope the Wildcats can pull some more magic out of their hats, because watching the tournament without Stephen Curry this year will be a great disappointment — not only for Davidson fans, but college basketball fans around the country as well.

Well, so much for them winning their tourney, huh? I think then NCAA should simply mandate that there can be no tourney this year without the likes of Steph Curry, and all his games must either be scheduled for prime time or Saturday/Sunday. They can call it some kind of Celebrity Exception, or TV Ratings Outreach. Selection committee, if you’re reading this blog, STEPHEN CURRY MUST APPEAR IN THE ‘09 EDITION OR MARCH MADNESS! This may be our last shot at seeing him play collegiately, sadly.
Oh, and we weren’t introduced to him in 2008 tournament. You forget his 2007 tournament exploits when he was a freshman, scoring 30 points in a first-round loss to Maryland.
Holla.
You know, I hate blogs that don’t have a “Preview” function for comments, LOL! Of course I meant “the NCAA should…,” “OF MARCH MADNESS!” and “the 2008 tournament.” LOL!
Peace. I’ll be back to your blog, Girl.
Hey anonymousnupe -
Thanks for the comment. And you’re right — we were introduced to Curry in the 07′ tourney. I just wasn’t paying much attention to him at the time! He will def. be missed this year. Thanks for visiting the blog!
Officially crestfallen now.
