Will small business loans continue to increase?

June 17, 2008 by ShannonCherry

The number of small business loans under $1 million increased by 15 percent fromhere's your check June 2006 to June 2007, according to a new Small Business Administration (SBA) report.

The SBA also reported that loans with a value of $100,000 to $1 million increased by almost 32 percent. But that was a year ago.  I’m wondering if we’ll see this trend continue between 2007 & 2008, or will loans to small businesses decrease?

Anyone have any information to share? I’d love to hear about it.
