Windows 7 UAC Levels

The Windows Vista UAC took a while before people understood them, most of the time, users decided to turn-off the feature which means Microsoft is a complete failure on this side.
On the new UAC model of Windows 7, users have control on the amount of security information they are thrown at by the system. These security configurations include:
1. By default – the default security level for Windows 7 is ‘Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer”. In this setting you don’t see alerts whenever you adjust control panel settings. The only time UAC kicks in is whenever third party applications make registry changes.
2. The second level is similar to the default settings, but prevents you from using secure desktop. This second level doesn’t dim the screen on UAC alerts and you can continue working on your computer.
The UAC can no longer be disabled but the alerts can be suppressed.
