windowsliveskydrivelogo.pngWindows Live Folders, which is an online storage service by Microsoft, was released a few months ago in their test drive mode. With this, you can now save your documents, images, and music files online and have them access anytime, anywhere. This is similar to Google Online Storage service.

Early August 9, 2007, they launched 3 major updates of Windows online media storage and they are as follows:

  1. Windows Live Folders got a new name, Windows Live SkyDrive.
  2. Additional features which includes new look and feel of the interface, the “Also on SkyDrive” section, thumbnail images, dragging and dropping of files, and embedding files anywhere feature.
  3. Lastly, additional region coverage – the UK and India.

Take note that this service is only available in certain regions. So, if your region(US, UK, and India) is listed, get hooked now with Windows Live SkyDrive and start storing and sharing files online!
