Windows Live Writer – Delayed Publish when Offline

One of the great features of Windows Live Writer that I love is that I can work on a couple of different posts in varying stages without having to be connected to the Internet at all.

This lets me get my ideas down and ready for more intense writing later, or even let’s me insert and prepare all my images into the post. I can then save the drafts of my posts in the interface (or even into my WordPress dashboard if I would prefer) to open later and finish.

What I can’t do, that seems kind of obvious though, is to publish a post, even when I’m disconnected and save it as a draft. Then, when Windows Live Writer notices an active Internet connection again, it can go ahead and publish those posts immediately up to the server without me having to do anything at all.

With Windows Live Writer I can also schedule posts to be published days after I actually “Publish” them to the site using the post date and time.

I realize there’s a little bit of an overlap in features and functionality here, but having some sort of auto-publish when online again would be a great new feature in my opinion.
