Windows Media Center Getting Stronger

Microsoft doesn’t own Youtube or any heavyweight video streaming site like Hulu, instead they are making their Microsoft Windows Media Center stronger. I have already reported about their partnership with Netflix wherein they can stream more than 12,000 videos for it’s Vista Home Premium and Ultimate users.

Before the Netflix deal, Microsoft has already added a news sports channel to the Windows media which includes past NCAA basketball tournament.

Microsoft says that they are building on our broader vision of allowing users to get their video fix right from the desktop instead of jumping from one website to another.

As I have reported before, they are simply building on their software plus service model. Not only in the enterprise, but it seems they are doing the same on the consumer market.
