We talked a lot about Windows Vista ReadyBoost, Virtualization, Security, etc.; but Windows Vista Media Capabilities is one of the most powerful features of the operating system which deserve more credit than it gets.

For starters, Windows Vista comes with Windows Media Player 11 which is the latest version of Microsoft’s media player. The software allow users to share files uploaded in the library to be streamed by everyone connected to the computer. Other users do not need to copy the file anymore; but they would be able to view the files via network streaming. That is just so cool!

The media file types that can be shared include:

1. Video
2. Music
3. Pictures
4. Live TV which also supports High-definition playback

Windows Vista also comes with an Advanced Tag Editor which helps you organize your media files.

Sync of information for your media files online and across computers shared and connected in the network is easily done in Windows Vista.

Backup

Windows Vista has made it so easy to burn media files to DVDs, CDs.

Windows Vista is a powerful operating system that goes beyond technical stuff. Consumers care most about their multimedia files and Windows Vista is up to the challenge to meet demands.
