Microsoft is placing Windows Vista Service Pack 2 into Beta Testing starting Next week. Based on the results of the testing, they would announce the date for the public release of Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

The second service pack for their latest operating system would include all fixes found in the first service pack together with a number of improvements that increase hardware support and technology standards.

Some of the improvements from SP2 are the following:

1. Windows Search 4.0
2. Bluetooth Feature Pack 2.1
3. Blu-ray disc recording
4. Wifi setup
5. Support for exFAT file system

We’ll monitor service pack 2 and report accordingly here at Windows Vista Weblog.
