WNBA stars suit up for NBA All-Star Weekend
I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for the NBA’s All-Star Saturday Night.
My favorite competition is the Three-Point Shootout, but one of the events consistently gaining in popularity is the Shooting Stars competition, which brings together a NBA star, a WNBA star and a NBA legend.
This year’s field includes:
- Defending Shooting Stars champion Detroit, including Shock star Swin Cash, Shock coach and former Detroit Pistons star Bill Laimbeer and Pistons guard Chauncey Billups.
- Team Chicago, which consists of Sky forward Candice Dupree, Chicago Bulls guard Chris Duhon and former Bulls guard B.J. Armstrong.
- Team Phoenix, consisting of WNBA Finals MVP Cappie Pondexter, Phoenix Suns big man Amare Stoudamire and former Suns player Eddie Johnson (the one who doesn’t like molesting children).
- Team San Antonio (my biased favorites), bringing together Silver Stars All-Everything Becky Hammon, the best power forward of all-time in Tim Duncan and of course, 5-0 David Robinson.
