Wordless Wednesday Inspires a Tip for Saving Money on Gas

Over at MomGrind, gas prices are the subject of the Wordless Wednesday. The picture shows the lowest gas price at more than $4 a gallon. There’s a second picture of a sign offering a discount for those that pay with cash.

Here’s a tip for saving money on gas: Look around town to see what special offers there are for saving a little bit of money on gas.

In my town, the local grocery store has a gas station as well. Every time you buy groceries, you get a discount on gas. The more you buy in groceries, the bigger your discount is. A regular, weekly shopping trip for us gets us about a 10 cent per gallon discount. Not too bad.

So, whether it’s a cash discount, or a grocery related discount, or something else, do a little research and see what you can find.
