WordPress 2.6 False Update Notification

Now this is odd. I upgraded my personal blog to WordPress 2.6 the other day. Everything looked normal until now. Suddenly, I’m being asked to upgrade to version 2.6 again.

Anyone else seeing this false update notification?

    Perhaps you’ve been hacked.

  2. TechBlog.ph says:

we’ve upgraded techblog.ph to 2.6 too but we’re not seeing the false update notification.

did you upgrade manually or did you use the auto-upgrade plugin?

  3. Mike Abundo says:

    Ia: I don’t think so, unless we’re seeing a new 2.6 vulnerability.

TechBlog: I used auto-upgrade. It seemed to go without a hitch.

Oddly enough, the problem disappeared as suddenly as it appeared. Any ideas?

  4. could be cache? just guessing hehe. let us know if it recurs ;)
