WordPress 2.6: Google Gears of War

Now this is how software should be upgraded! WordPress 2.6 ships with a plethora of cool and useful new features, minus the usual backward compatibility headaches. I just installed it on my personal blog, and it’s already making my life easier.

Most notable is the integration of Google Gears into the WordPress dashboard. WordPress is the gold standard in blogging software; by getting Gears in front of the world’s top bloggers across multiple niches, Google scores a huge PR coup.
