Words as Art

Thanks to Liz Strauss over at Successful Blog for her pointer to a wonderful graphic tool called Wordle.

That’s how I generated the first graphic you see here. In that case I just entered a few words.

Here’s what happens if you add the address for this blog, www.thegoldenpencil.com. It builds the word cloud from the rss feed:

Liz points out that these word clouds can also be used as tools and lists ways to use them in things like greeting cards, as presentation slides, etc.

Give it a try – it’s dirt simple, subtle and lots of variations are possible.
