If you’re a fan of Cage-fighting and follow the UFC or WEC, you won’t want to miss this tonight. the “Versus” channel on Directv shows old and new episodes of the ever growing WEC (World Extreme Cage-fighting). The Featherweight fight tonight features “The California Kid” Urijah Faber against WEC newcomer Jen “Lil’ Evil” Pulver. Both Faber and Pulver are great fighters so this is going to be interesting to say the least.
The last fighter to fight Faber was Jeff Curran who is also fighting but that fight may not be broadcast. Of all the fights I have seen Urijah Faber in, he has dominated everyone of them with the exception of his last fight with Jeff “Big Frog” Curran. That fight lasted two rounds which is one round longer than all the other fights with Faber have lasted.
Pulver, although a newcomer to WEC is not a newcomer in the sport of cage-fighting. Having a history in UFC and Pride, he has never been defeated at 145 and his first fight in the WEC only lasted one round against reputable fighter Cub Swanson, which ended in a submission instead of the normal big left that Pulver is known for.
It goes live from Sacramento, CA at 9PM EST 6/1 on Versus., Directv Channel 603 (In NC).
