World of Warcraft Ethnographies

This is probably one of the coolest things I’ve heard about in a while. An Ethnography class at Trinity University set out to observe and document the community within World of Warcraft. The result is a group of fascinating essays (available in PDF format online) ranging from sexism to colonialism.

Definitely worth a read.
