WoW Continues Plan of World Domination

The tireless plod towards complete and utter ownership of humankind continues on strong for Blizzard and their brainwashing software, World of Warcraft. Account numbers continue to rise despite concerns that the game will deplete its stock of humanoid hosts before the goal of insidious, omnipotent control is reached. An astounding 300,000 more souls have been sucked into the void in the past four months alone, pushing the total number of players to over 9.3 million.

So that sort of begs the question of whether the latest World of Warcraft television spots, sporting the in-your-face personalities of William Shatner and the ever eloquent Mr. T, are even necessary. I suppose though, that once you’ve taken over the lives of all the people that have ever been online, you need to recruit fresh meat by exploring other, archaic media outlets. Haven’t seen the ads? Imagine Captain Kirk as a lyrically challenged shaman and Mr. T as a blinged out night elf. Can’t? Well here you go, in all their frightening glory.
