WSOP Down to the Final 450; Hellmuth Gone

The WSOP Main Event is getting down to the nitty gritty. A field of 6494 is now only a best of 450. Baby faced Jordan Morgan (as seen in U.S. championships seen on ESPN) is now third with nearly 1,500,000 chips. Phil Ivey has become even more lethal as he has amassed a top 10 chip count with 1,250,000. Another elite pro Dan Harrington has gained 400,000 chips to reach 860,000.
Dennis Phillips, Kenny Tran, JC Tran, David Benyamine, and Antonio Esfandiari all remain in the mix with respectable chip stacks.
Unfortunately one of my hopefuls, Phil Hellmuth has been eliminated. This hurts as I think things would have been much more interesting with the ambassador around, but let’s hope some other pros can last deep. I love the tension of walking the elites play for history. Last year Scotty came really close, but couldn’t close.
