Xbox competing to be No1, says Gates

The new Xbox 360 “is a revolutionary product” and Microsoft is competing to be number one in video gaming, said Bill Gates in an interview with today’s UK Sunday Times.
Speaking only hours before releasing another weak set of financial results, Gates said Microsoft’s size had allowed it to enter the video-gaming market with the development of Xbox. The company could afford to regard the first generation of games as “just a learning experience”, despite losing billions of dollars.
With the launch of the second generation Xbox 360 next month, “we are competing to be No1. Two years from now you will know. We are going to expand the market with the way we have made it a digital-entertainment centre. Xbox 360 is a revolutionary product.”
